FASTR

Analytics for
health systems.

FASTR helps health programmes turn routine HMIS data into the figures, tables and briefs that drive decisions.

What it is

A platform for rapid-cycle analysis of routine health data.

FASTR — Frequent Assessments and Health System Tools for Resilience — is a Global Financing Facility initiative supporting country-led use of routine HMIS data to monitor reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and nutrition services.

The platform takes the messy reality of programme data — incomplete reports, shifting period formats, overlapping disaggregations — and turns it into figures, tables, maps and slide decks that programme teams can use directly.

How it works

Three things FASTR does well.

I.

Routine data, ready to use.

Designed for the messy reality of programme data. Period formats, disaggregations and population denominators are handled for you.

II.

Figures that hold up.

A consistent visual system across charts, tables, maps and slide decks. Output you can stand behind.

III.

Built for teams.

One tool for analysts and decision-makers. Reproducible by design, easy to share.

Methodology

Built on documented methods.

The FASTR methodology documentation describes the full approach: identifying questions and indicators, extracting and preparing HMIS data, assessing and adjusting data quality, estimating service utilization and coverage, and communicating results.
